Hansa Meyer Global Transport's Houston office recently completed a shipment of 3 Core-in Kettles from Tarragona, Spain to the Port of New Orleans with final destination in south west Louisiana. A floating crane was used to position the kettles on a 220' barge:
80’-11”x18’-4”x20’-4”@345,714 lbs |
The barge made it to the discharge site early in the morning and the smallest kettle was lifted with a crane. The barge was then repositioned and anchored in place with two tractors. A ramp was put into position for the remaining roll-off discharge.
A multi-axel Goldhofer was used for the roll-off of the remaining kettles.
The project was executed flawlessly and the end customer was pleased with the project overall.
