The team from Hansa Meyer Global's US office was at the Port of Mobile in early June. The following blog takes a look at the discharge of 14 pieces that came in from Germany with a combined weight of over 1.2 million lbs. The discharge took about 6 hours to complete.

Below - Discharging of the Mill Stand from the Vessel. This piece has a weight of 178,571 lbs. and dimensions of 30’-6” x 14’-11” x 2’-6”. It was lifted by a Gottwald Shore Crane with capacity of 110
short tons and settled on timbers on the dock.
Below - The Plate Filter has a weight of 82,209 lbs. and 30’-9” x
9’-1” x 17’-6”. The same crane was used for discharge the crate from the hold
of the vessel and settled on the dock.
Below - This last crate didn't parachute down to the dock, even though it looks like it is floating through air. We just have a project team that likes to take a lot of pictures. But the last picture is a nice view from above of the cargo successfully placed on the dock.
